- bonus 🎁raxxx - ... A4 mini-zines

We have been experimenting with the A4 mini zine format a lot lately again.
It was mentioned before in this article.
Back in the days of the AN-A, we made already 2 minizines
- one for the semesterprogramm of oktober and the other one
more or less as a little zine / poetry project in the manner of the lettrists métagraphie. the following mini zine:

is already out / got stolen a lot and distributed. So ya if you happen to have a copy of those - you are lucky - the circumstances might add value to it.

Nestor who is frequently coming over to the copy workshop started a series of little comics, called culichi comics.
I think it is about a little guy and his experiences with a rice cooker in an achievement-oriented society,
what I like a lot about his zines is that most of them are hand drawn & collaged and very minimal and direct/instant in production and approach to the format and the content. here are some pictures:

there are already 2 episodes of the culichi comic and one other mini zine as a leaflet & info for a performance.

One might have already realized that there is the possibility to add a poster or some sort of print/ picture on the backside of the mini zine as well.
so that the paper is printed on both sides. in the picture docu of the always100,
you can even spot the master copy, made on the thermo fax, for one of the colors used to print the backside.
the text is a reference to the track rug by the chen yi commune.
In the culichi comics the posters are the pages where the protagonist encounters the rice cooker.

It made me sort of melancholic, that all the very first mini zines somehow dissapeared, even if these is maybe the very true nature of how they should be distributed and valued - Anyway, I decided to "re-upload" it to the mimeograph, but also alter parts, as the copy maschine allows a constant remixing & shifting of the source material. the method of copying with a mimeograph and its references to music & sound is sometimes surprising but also very inspiring (like sampling, looping, speed & bitrates etc pp).
